Is it me or is it that counter formations don't seem to work as effective any more?

Dont know if the "counterformations" work or not, but I experienced that formations like 4-4-2 Classic and 4-5-1/ 4-1-4-1 Flat are more or less effective against all the other formations (mostly the offensive ones). Also, when I play "attacking" I score less. But when I play defensive + counterattack I score at least 6 or 7 goals

I play better on normal than on defensive.. why is it the other way for you?

i've lost with the 4-5-1 V vs 4-4-2 and 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond, twice now.

The 4-5-1V used to be a great counter vs those two tactics but not anymore. A friend of mine has had the same problems. In my cases, both teams i lost to were inferior to mine

idk...i played 4-5-1V the other day against 4-4-2 with most of my bench players playing with crappy moral and not too many stars...and i won 2-0.

i went 4-5-1 v yesterday and only won 2 - 0. Im playing 4-4-2 classic today, ill go with my usual 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond n see how i get on, ill keep u posted

i have to agree
formations like
4-4-2 and 4-1-4-1
are became very strong with no reason !!!

my friend its playing 4-1-4-1 with counter attacks and he scores like a beast with any formation against ...
