I think you guessed well: first option will do. Down arrow on both DM + DC. Up on both AM + 1 MC - normal/down flanks/counter. Should be ok. You may also go with 2 AMC and through the middle.

I agree on the 2 AMC. But I never put arrows anymore and for the time being works pretty good for me
