Difference between 5-line defence and 3dc+dml+dmr (defence)

I have the following doubt:

Against an attacking formation with two wingers it is better, in general, to field a 5-line defence or 3 dc with dml and dmr?

I follow matches but from animations couldn't understand which option work better

So, in general, 5-line defence (assuming you have man)


Or 3dc+dml+dmr?

I would choose the second one with dmlr

DMs are considered midfielders not only defenders, so they boost up your possession and passing ratio.

BTW your team quality is pretty low.
Even with defensive good tactics if your oppo is 2stars better, It wont make much difference for you
