How are they winning?!?!

This team has a 48% strength, and starts a 2-star center defender, but is on top in my CL and in their league beating tams with 80+% ratings. Only thing I can tell is all players have a special skill, but many are useless, like PK specialist on a defender.
What's going on?

Did you check his bench and reserves to see if he has other good players in there? He might be a tanker

Not a tanker. Bench players are all garbage too. He only has two players at 4 stars, the rest are 2-3.

The team has a few players that for example as a defender have 103/10/45 as their stats, but most of them are across the board in the 45-60 range.
Watching the tactics, it looks like they play hard defensive with counters on. When opponent has the ball at midfield there is no one playing high up.
