No. As long as I understand it looks like:

    -------ST------
    ------AMC------
    ---MC-MC-MC----
    DML---------DMR
    ----DC-DC-DC----

Literally a 5-3-2 (3-5-2 when attacking) formation with very attacking fullbacks (DMs) (I suppose) + a libero. I guess he attacks mixed (he tried to add depth with DML/R) and if they are red and good he succeeded. Otherwise it's a monotonic "through the middle" approach with 6-7 defending and then counter attacking.
For me, it's sooo boring and defensive (and inefficient as well)

I've never met in Top Eleven this formation but I would try either 4-1-3-2 or 4-5-1. The lack of wing presence is a sound weakness. therefore any formation which attacks down both flanks would be just fine. To be honest though, I don't think I would ever change my tactic for this.

It's variation of 3-2-3-2. I suggest you 4-4-2 diamond. Normal mentality, through the middle, mix passing, zonal marking with normal tackling. No counter attack/offside trap. Id guess, he is playing defensive with counter.

Yeah that's the formation alright, if I play down the middle will he not catch me on the wings with the wide players? Frustrating to play against but struggled to find the right formation against him and I have to play him 4 times at least this season

If you play with fullbacks+ wingers and through the flanks you'll outnumber him. If you play with 3 AMs you'll put pressure everywhere

3-2-3-2 is actually a variation of 5-3-2 or 3-5-2. No actual need to play only through he middle, I can see your thought, though. With only 1 player on each flank he can push from flanks as well if he has both wingers and fullbacks.
