If 442 was supposed to counter this because it ignores their dml/r shouldn't 3-5-2 flat be the most effective against this?

Crazy, that's like perfect counter formation for what you was against, interested in the stats, possession, shots for and against also what tactics you used, for example I only use pass down both flanks if I have 4 people on the wings, if it's only 2, like the formations with 3dmc I just use mixed.
