    DML-DMR
    MC-MC

This formation gives me head ache too. I've lost every game against it no matter what I use... Frustrating when the team I played against is in the bottom of the league with 1 win and that was against me... Sigh :/

Try a 3-5-2 wide diamond : DC, DC, DC, DMC, DMC, ML, MR, AMC, ST, ST with a zonal marking.

    That should work very fine.

Narrow diamond should work quite well... if you go through the middle, his defensive wingers wont help much.
    Bermuda Triangle, started 26.2.2013
    standings/trophies (9 seasons, 7 promotions):
    League winner: 4
    Champions league winner: 2
    Cup winner: 2

If 442 was supposed to counter this because it ignores their dml/r shouldn't 3-5-2 flat be the most effective against this?

EDIT just realized this wasn't the formation i thought it was in the OP

    ------ST----ST-----
    ---------------------
    --ML--MC---MC----MR
    ---------DMC-----------
    ----DC--DC--DC----

    would probably do the trick.

I lost 2-1 with this formation. I guess he was lucky because my team played like ****. Missed too many chances etc.

Next time use 4-4-2 narrow diamond. Normal mentality, through the middle, own half, short passing, zonal. no counter attack/ offside trap.
    YOU're MANAGER, YOU MANAGE

    Congratulation Arsenal!!
Hope these thread could help you, Formation-Tactic and GUIDE
