I was up against this team in a football associations tournament and they where around 1% stronger than my team in the first round. I countered thier formation and played it safe on the tactics. I Was not there for this match but because of the preparation my team won 0 - 4. The second round was starting and I realized his team went up In strength by 4-5% and he changed his formation, so I also changed my formation to counter his formation. My players where well rested and I had 38/40 training bonuses (the 2% loss was on condition bonuses). My teams morale was also at max. Even though I was able to make it to this match, my team lost 2 - 1. During the first half I used all possession bonuses and at the start of the second half I switched the Team mentality to attacking with possession bonuses. But then we quickly conceided so I switched back to normal mentality and used defensive bonuses. Towards the end of the match I used possession bonuses again. I can't wrap my head around this loss I did everything I can to win against a team that was only 5% stronger. So if anyone has any tips for me to improve will be greatly appreciated.
