Don't bank on it. Acadamy players can vary enormously. I have had 4* players, but in turn have had (like my last ones), a 3* for 18T and my free one was just 1*.

If your not too concerned about getting many injuries and have plenty of subs/reserves then friendlies would be the better choice due to the boosters on offer.
