About the injuries, try the following:
- Use your red boosters until there is 1 day left, then let the player heal naturally. I really believe that it's the way to go to reverse the injury curse...

Yes there is. But, when you sell a player with saved skill points, the buyer does not get them and the starting bid for the auction will be lower.

I apply my skill points from last season on day 1 and won't apply skill points again until the start of day 1 the next season. Some advantages:
better cup draw
easier to identify fast/slow...
