i think they are precalculated since there is millions of mataches played everyday, it would be way more difficult to run everything in real time simulation....sure there are factors during the game...

I don't know because I don't have this information but I'm telling from my own exp. sometimes, the ball just don't want to enter :) it happen to me, I lost against weaker teams then me.
