I had 105 friends and sometimes, it glitched and I have 5, and then I log back in and I had my 105 fitness again, but I am finishing up now.

Could be that they connect with google, sometimes it takes a day until you can see them in friends list, sometimes you can't see them until they enter the game (with facebook), etc.
