There will always be many waiting in the wings to step in and try to take over.. Time and patience will tell.

The "sad" thing about cricket is people (spectators) cannot afford 5 days to focus on the game. Times have changed, so much more to do and so little time, etc. Test cricket, which may still be the measure of a great player, may also fall away one day.

No disrespect , but the only thing I know about Indian hockey is the sticks used so often in the movies by the baddies

End of day, Sachin 38 not out. Will continue tomorrow but unfortunately I won't he able to see the first 2 sessions due to school.
Well, he looked awesome and focused and a few off his shots showed that Class is Permanent. A last century coming up? Only time will tell. Hope he gives his best and all over, enjoys his last match.
