In the past, I would have said the 360 quite easily as the PS3 had nothing of note in the first couple of years. Now, I would say the PS3 quite easily due to having a stronger lineup of exclusive games and Playstation Plus (the latter making X-Box Live look extremely poor value now).

Since having my PS3, my 360 has hardly been used and I cancelled my Live subscription after having it for 8 years.

I prefer the PS3 since I play a lot of fighting games and the Xbox gamepad is utterly horrible for those. Plus, I'm not a fan of paying a subscription to play online (especially compared to PSN+).

There are a lot of rumours about a bad PSN comparing with (online modus from) the XBOX.
Don't know where that come from, but I've no problem for severall years now using the free PS Network.......

I think it's more to do with server maintenance and performance in the background rather than actually playing online (hence why you see PSN having server maintenance often, especially after the infamous PSN hack a couple of years ago). Regardless, whether you have it free or have PS+, it makes X-Box Live look very poor value for money in comparison.
