League/Cup/Champions League Competition Statistics?

I had an idea today that I thought would be cool. In the competitions section, if for example you went into the league, there could be another menu option in the bottom right where you choose standings/matches/prizes etc but for competition statistics.

In here, you could have stats such as the league's top scorer (or 3?), players with top assist stats (or 3?), best pass completion/tackles etc? Maybe even an "MVP" with most man of the match awards? There is an endless list of things you could think to put in here.

But the next stage I thought might be cool, is that for winning these (or even coming in the top 3 so it makes it more accessible to everyone?) you get a reward. For example, having the league's top scorer might earn 5 training points or whatever as a prize. Second top scorer maybe 3, third place maybe 1. But you could mix and match the rewards (similar to the different rewards at the end of a game) to suit which stat. Training points, personally, I think would be best as it is for the players.

There is a lot of different types of things you could do with this, but I think it could be an idea that makes managers think about season stats overall, and be rewarded. Attacking football = more goals = more likelihood of a top scorer etc, and additionally training points might allow players to travel with the team they propel up the league rather than getting sold a season or two after as they are no longer good enough

I wonder what everyone else thinks?

Very good ideas.

I certainly like the ideas of rewards for top scorer etc... Naturally, a team would get confidence and morale from winning and definitely from winning well, so maybe morale booster packs as well.

I also definitely like the idea of retaining players for a longer duration than 1 or 2 seasons, so giving them training boosters as well is a great idea.

There is a top scorer list, most assists as well, and a type of MVP rating based on the average rating throughout the season, but this is only for the league, and there are no rewards for it. Others have suggested rewards for these achievements before, myself included, but training points is a new one to me, and I think it's a pretty good idea.

Indeed there is, sorry - I play on my iPhone using the app and it isn't on that, so hadn't properly explored the full version! I think it should do it even more now, seeing as 3 of the top 5 scorers are mine, top assister is mine, and joint top highest rating!!! Lol
