Resetting the cards before the final of the Cup and the Champions League

I dislike this rule in T11 world or real world.

But I always think yellow cards can have an expiry period, say 10 matches.

I like the current system, it's simple and everyone knows where they stand...

...but I would like to see player injuries reset at the end of the season...
