Writing this at season 47, LV 38, that’s my recent short story.
At season 35, LV30 got my 10th treble and made a break of four seasons (staying in the same LV).
Then started again with the target of winning 10 more trebles.
After 7 seasons, I won 6 trebles and lost one because of the CH.L. because I couldn’t watch the final and lost from an opponent -1 lv and star.
I just follow the two most useful threads of the forum (How to win the cup & the Fast trainers) and doing a good daily management to get the 120-130 tokens and the 900 greens the games gives for free, every season.
This season is gonna be a another repeat from previous season with a big chance to win another treble.
The only challenge for me is the CH.L. and the finals.
And this challenge is mostly if I ‘ll be able to watch the games as the finals are in my working hours or if I ‘ll get a troll result with a super hero opo GK.
Gathering trophies is the only thing that motivates me.
Formations and tactics isn’t something that gives me a challenge anymore. It’s just 4-5 basic things you must do.
Training and player’s development also.
I don’t know if and who of my players is good and for what reason, which characteristics.
I have a good record so far this season but am I a good coach ?
Association games could be a criterion but there, the random factor, the roulette effect is too often.
So the game I would like to play could must have :
Training with drills that affect the game-play.
The drills as they are now, have interesting setting but no effect.
For example training my defense in “Press the play”, meaning that if I set the order “high pressing” they must go very hard to the attacker of opponent.
“Piggy in the middle” meaning that when I set normal, middle, short passes, my team will play a tiki-taka football in the middle-field , spending time and keeping the score as it is.
“Use your head”/”Defending crosses” meaning I ‘m training my defense to be excellent in C-K or F-K at higher ground.
“Hold the line” meaning that I train my defenders to be very good at offside trap.
Something similar can be with the attacking skills.
Now, the players.
A player must have specific skills but physical characteristics too (like the height or weight) which can fit with the system or orders I want to play.
I must have 3-4 fast, light, intelligent defenders to play good the offside trap.
Or must have strong, heavy, tall defenders to dominate the high ground.
Must have fast, with good control wingers and learn them “Wing play” + “Fast counter attacks” or to have C-K/ F-K specialists, able to find the head of my tall strong attackers.
When we train a ST in one to one, he must trying to shot and score in every game scene (specially if he is 1-1 with the GK or one defender).
When we train him in “Pass, go and shoot” , he is trying more to cooperate with the other attackers-wingers, for example a Karim Benzema style.
The game-play now depends from the difference in quality and luck.
When none manager is present, 30% of results is pure luck. Still if the managers are present is too random.
This must be reduced to minimum.
Ok, very player has a bad day but he must understand when (or maybe why) this is happening.
We must be able to spot the bad form of a player and morale must be the indicator of that.
Morale must have some meaning, a bigger role. And this action of giving two packs to take morale to superb, must stop.
We had to find other ways.
Game calculations must count more on the characteristics of the players plus our coaching style.
Also how well can we “read” the opponent and actions we ‘re doing during the game.
Assistant manager could be more helpful with advice about our system or giving tips as he can spying opponents style.
I think the game could last for longer time, maybe 12-15 min.
The players must have more stats, like tackling, shots, defensive/attacking head-shots, goals from head/foot/F-K, mistakes as the GKs should have saves and high/low ground rushing out.
Special abilities must have a clear impact in the game play.
We could have more choices as that we could add more than one in our players.
That is at the moment.
