Punishing the manager who doesn't attend 50% of his games

I suggested some drastic measures but throughout the discussion I realized that it's unfair to punish managers who are busy sometimes or have a valid excuse not to attend certain games at certain times but no body can convince me that a manager have so many valid excuses not to watch more than 50 % of their games !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

T.E. is encouraged to improve the timing of matches and allow managers to chose the best timing for their local match like they do in association which would give them no more excuses for being absent.

So instead of being narrow minded to criticize the idea of punishing an inactive manager or a manager who fails to attend 50% of his league matches, you should request from T.E. to improve the draw by making it relevant to geographic location of managers and their time zone and ask T.E. to give managers certain choices about the best time for them to play their home game.

The simple answer to this is..........get a life away from your phone/computer , maybe you will find out that real life consumes a decent proportion of a persons day and there are certain things in a day that cant/shouldnt be shifted to accommodate a freaking game and I make no excuses for that to you or anyone else for that matter. Why do managers need VALID excuses that meet your standards and criteria before they are able to miss a match ? At the end of the day this is just a GAME used to fill in spare time and be enjoyed and if this GAME has become something else for you , like a WAY OF LIFE, then I would suggest you need to take a break buddy , go outside and kick a ball maybe. I know for me this is just a GAME and doesnt dominate my life and nor should it.

No , upon reflection I still feel this whole idea, original and amended , still belongs in the silly box and no one has so far shown me any VALID reasons to change that opinion.

The punishment can take one or more faces

A- Deduction of points from league competition which leads to losing ranks and sometimes relegation
B- Deduction of tokens and/ or money


Another drastic suggestion

C- Making the manager who doesn't attend a match lose 3-0 and if both managers didn't show up the match result ends by 0-0

A - deduction in league points or relegation will just make tanker happier
B - deduction of token/money seems logic because manager who don't always attend the match shows uncommitted to the club and his salary should be deducted in term of token/money
C - lose the match will just make tanker happier, and let's don't change in the rule of football itself, lost 3-0 only applied if the squad don't get enough player, let keep it that way

option B still little crazy because the present of active manager still depends on the match schedule, it still quite difficult especially for away match that we can't reschedule. even the home match need token to reschedule.

i don't have any idea what is the best way to punish or to reward manager for attending, there is moral booster as reward, but seems not so interesting

by the way, should we punished them? or just encourage them to attend?

maybe a flipping cards that we can choose only 1 of 3 cards, or choose only 2 of 5 cards after the match we attended? and the reward is not limited to booster only, depends on our luck, it can be skill++, it can be SA that we can give to any player we want if we got that SA card........ token.. etc

OFF TOPIC comment : I am in level 37 now and I came to a belief that what is called "troll" result or unsatisfactory result represent no more than 5% of all games results if you were a good trainer and have deep awareness of the game ... I run three teams in three different mid-levels and I don't remember losing a game that I should have won ...

I am going to abandon this team next season and u can see the amount of tokens I have and my result s... but i am doing so coz the new training system made things ridiculous and it's no more fun to guess which training works and which not and I don't find it positive to train dark skills ...

The best way is to punish lack of training, that has always been my main concern for abandoned teams. If a manager takes care of his team daily but does not have the time to watch all matches is something understandable and I don't think should be punished.
I agree that absent managers should get a punishment in some form.

when did I ? perhaps (not sure) I've done that many many many months ago when I first joined this forum ... but I really don't remember complaining maybe because
I learned so much here....
not showing off ... but I am playing around 100 games per season and I rarely lose my winning rate per season is around 9.25-9.5/10 ...
what's bothering me is unfortunately 3/4 of my games against absent and inactive managers ...

agreed.especially rarely active to -no active at all- managers should be punished.
why should we lose or draw matches against a ghost team.
all ghost teams should lose all matches and maybe relegate.
