What is more rewarding for a manager than seeing a player he/she has trained and coached get selected for the National Squad?

Now, how about this idea: arrange, on each league level an AI driven tournament between (a subset of) the various Leagues at that level. The squad is, by the AI, selected from the best players of that League by a combination of player skill and current league statistics (and performance in previous National fixtures). Probably a maximum of 3 players should be allowed in the Squad from any team of that League.
Then, once or twice a week, there are fixtures that can be watched live. And appearances and goals are logged in the player statistics, and also in the Club history/stats.
