I've been inspired by an earlier thread in the forum by cracicot regarding moral & how it works, so I have decided to try some theory's against teams I am expecting to win in the league & hopefully understand it more. I didn't want to start a separate thread & don't want to get into any big debates, this is just my own assumption of moral & you are all free to read & maybe it will help with some questions.
Moral Theory No1
Above shows the moral before the match, the match result & the moral after the match & I want to explain what I think are the ups & downs of the moral.
I believe that the moral will NOT CHANGE if a rating is either 7 or 8, anything above will increase & anything below will decrease. I also believe that certain contributing factors can influence the moral like clean sheets, man of the match, substitutions, red cards, yellow cards.... the list could go on
Banks had a rating of 8 & kept a clean sheet so his moral increased
Cumbers had a rating of 8 no change
Clarke had a rating of 7 no change
Sawatram had a rating of 7 no change
Price had a rating of 7 but his moral decreased (Price can play in 2 positions DMC/DML, he may prefer to play in DML so I will test this theory in my next appropriate game)
Rodriguez had a rating of 7 but his moral increased (Rodriguez can play in 2 positions ML/DML, he may be playing in his preferred position so again I will test this in my next appropriate game)
Haughton had a rating of 8 & was awarded the man of the match & also scoring 2 goals so his moral increased
Sánchez had a rating of 7 & had an assist so his moral increased
Blair had a rating of 5, but his moral only reduced slightly (this was a tricky one as he was subbed & also was able to play in 2 positions & he did get an assist) my theory is that his natural position is AMR giving a negative he was subbed also giving a negative & he got an assist in total one negative explaining the small decrease for a 5 rating. I will keep an eye on this in future.
Reed had a rating of 7, but had a slight decrease in moral ( this could be just simply no goals & no assists, every striker wants to score or make goals)
Meadows had a rating of 8 & had a very slight increase in moral (scoring 2 goals I would have expected more of an increase so maybe he prefers to play on the left of centre instead of right, something for the next match maybe)
Lee who was brought on in place of Blair & only for a green pack & nothing else had a rating of 7 and no change to moral.
I will update with another test on day 20 or 21 & try to make the changes that were mentioned above.
