But the guy leading the League beat me - he's 17.6 average quality, and not due to having low quality subs/reserves. Some people call those sort of results troll results, but I think that it makes it more realistic - you get the best teams beaten in the FA Cup by League 1 teams every now and then.
Yea I know what u mean. My average quality is 28,6. And the 2nd best team in my league has 16,4. So if I dont win my league I really suck. And the best team left in all competitions except mine has a quality of 25,5 and that is a lvl 5 in the cup.

FC Bristbury progress to Cup Quarterfinals

Today we played Gareth Bale FC at home for the second leg of the Cup Top 16. We slotted 6 goals past them to go on to the quarterfinals on an aggregate of 11-0. One fan told reporters that he was confident that we would claim the treble this season, but our club spokesman was quick to point out that at this stage it is very premature to speculate, although that the club will do its utmost to win every competition it enters.

The only drama in our 5-0 slaughtering or our League opponents today, Arnan FC, was the bias of the ref at our home ground. Having given players on the other team a talk for several fouls, and only once pulling out a yellow, he gives out 3 to FC Bristbury and for offences no worse than those committed by our opponents poor Leandro Viera got 2. The fans were furious! They urged Viera to do a repeat of Rattin's protest in '66, but Viera knows not to argue, especially when you're winning!

    Two away matches

Today FC Bristbury had two away matches, one of which it felt like home, as not a single home fan turned up!

First of all we had a Champions League match which should have been a walk in the park but quite clearly wasn't. I missed this match due to revision in the library, but FC Bristbury scraped a 3-2 win out of the bag, meaning that, fingers crossed, we should progress to the quarterfinals.

Then we had a League match. Danny Pritchard got a place in the starting line-up due to Viera's unfair red card yesterday, and he proved his worth with a goal from the spot. But star player was Michalis Labrou, who at 31, is our veteran striker. He proved he still had it in him today with 2 goals, lots of chances created, a rating of 9 and Man of the Match! The fans are fond of him - to them, he is a Ryan Giggs, and FC Bristbury will be keeping him until the rules stipulate that he cannot play anymore! The final score was 5-0 to us, the visitors!

Is it the same thing for you too, that you only let in goals once u don't watch the game? Nice going and i really hope Bristbury make it to the CL quarterfinal

No, not all the time - but often that's because when I watch i can make changes and am more prepared to go with a more attacking formation/orders to get more of the ball, because I can change it if they try and exploit my tactics.

Well when your team is so superior to the others in your League, you are bound to win the vast majority of the matches and get a huge number of clean sheets.

Yea but i have lost 2 games. One in the league with 4-1 and one in the CL with 2-1. I couldnt watch any of them. I cant remember if i ever have let in a goal when i've watched the game. It seems like the result change's if u dont watch the game. I lost 4-1 vs a team of quality 14... when i was 27 or something. Only cuz i didnt watch.

Right, sorry there have been no update for a while - I had University exams which are a trifle more important. I logged in everyday to get the tokens and watched one or two matches. Despite that, I managed to win the League and Champions League double, and get to the Cup quarterfinals. I have a strong team going into season 4, and this season I'll really try and go for the triple. A double double is good, but a double double triple would be even better!

Sadly this season will be the last for Michalis Labrou, our oldest striker at the age of 32, as he has anounced his retirement at the end of the season. However, it will be Johnny Wheeler's, Dave Firth's and Melvin van Loon's 4th season at the club, and Wheeler and van Loon should easily be able to stay for a 5th as well. Dave Firth's long-term future looks likely to be with a lower level club, although Bristbury fans will miss him when he goes. We will be having a big overhaul of our reserves this season, hoping to get to a point where they are on a similar level to the first team.

Finally, it just leaves me to show the new trophy cabinet:

Nice one John - you prepared them so well no further instruction was needed. Hope the exams went well and if not finished yet, get back to it.
