Just played in the cup against a level 6 team, Haveradd FE, rated at 33.4, what promised to be a tight match, with the Clarets rated at 35.8, just over the 4* mark for my league, the first time ever I have achieved this rating on day 1 of the season!

Onto the match, and to be honest demolition doesnt begin to cover it, a 12-0 home victory all but guaranteeing progression into the next round of the cup. Goals from Scannell(3), Rodriguez(2), Hillenbrand(2), Stefanussen(1), Kocalp(1), Hassan(1), Van Hees(1) and one from Candra sealing the victory. Another notable stat is that in just one game Stefanussen has clocked up 5 assists from set pieces and delightful passes.

Onto the second leg today, and with the league draw coming up tomorrow the Clarets where keen to get this cup out of the way to focus fully on league prep.

A routine 4-1 win saw a 16-1 overall win, and progression to round 2 of the cup for the second year in a row. We hope injuries permitting to have a fine run at it.

Back to the Champions League before the league kicks off in a few hours, a game at home to Warvest FC. The game was settled with 2 first half goals from Rodriguez and Scannell, before a second half goal from Fitzsimons glossed the result. The group campaign off to a great start.

To the League now and on day one the Clarets where hoping for a win to start their campaign off in style. The home fans where not to be dissapointed with a 6-0 win with goals from Scannell(2), Candra(2), Stefanussen(1) and Rodriguez(1), sealing a 6-0 victory over the best rated team(38.3Q), AC Milan. Day two of the league season sees the Clarets face off against Tomike FC, a familiar foe from the days of Season 3. Sadly for the Northern Irish team, the seasons have not been kind to them and they are a shell of their former selves. A routine 6-0 drubbing rubbing salt into their already sizeable wounds. Goals from Hilenbrand(2), Fitzsimons(2), Hassan(1) and Van Hees(1) helping the Clarets to 5 straight wins in this season of competition. Ratings below! Next up is the champions league with Nomar FC coming to visit.

Transfer news now and Fusion United have signed a winger for less than $1M, with the signing of Raheem Sterling. He will pay on the left wing with Rodriguez moving from the centre to the right AM wing, and behind the two main strikers. Pic Below!

A tense 0-0 draw in the cup sent the Clarets to their first draw of the season! The opposition bossed possession with 59% of the ball, due to a tactical error by the manager at kickoff that was soon rectified. However the Clarets did not concede an away goal meaning a win by any margin in the return leg will see them through to the next round of competition. Stats from the game are below!

Champions League action now, and a tense game for the first 60 minutes saw the Clarets 2-1 down after it was discovered the formation they where playing was illegal by T11 rules, a rethink may be needed for the coming matches. A blow when Candra was injured with Hillenbrand coming in to fill the breach for the next 1-2 days. After 65 minutes the floodgates where opened and the Clarets scored 5 goals in less than 30 minutes to make the result beyond doubt. Goals again from Scannell(2), Hassan(2), Stefanussen(1) and one from Van Hees helping the Clarets to a second win in two games in the Champions League.

Moar Updates!

Day 4 of the League saw the Clarets at home to Arema FC, a team rated 29.8, and as the rating suggests it was a fairly routine win for the Clarets. Goals from Sterling and Stefanussen providing the team with a 2-0 win at home to keep the top spot going into Round 4 of the fixtures. Results around us on round 4 means a win is essential if the Clarets are to keep the lead of the League.

Back to the cup action, a 0-0 home draw to Nomar FC gave the Clarets a hard task to do. The game started off as a tense affair with almost even possession(52-48 in favour of the Clarets). On 32 Minutes a well taken Sterling free kick gave the Clarets a 1-0 away goal lead. At least 2 goals where needed for Nomar to salvage this round and their life in the cup. After Half time it was decided to shore up the defence with Velasco replacing Rodriguez, the former slotting into the DMC position which helped the team achieve a solid base to start the attacks from. It paid dividends when just 3 minutes later Scannell teed up Stefanussen to rifle home from 12 yards and make it 2-0 to the Clarets, and there was no reply from Nomar FC who I believe where out manoeuvred today.
