You'd surely do better. 5 days in a league isn't really much. I did have the same problem on season 1 but managed to make my way up to position 5 from position 10.

The 1st season in the game is never easy, not many tokens and $ to start with and zero facilities, It's difficult to get a few players in and getting your squad up and running, at least your from England like me so you will be making plenty of tokens and boosters by the videos so by season 4 you should have a great 5* squad at the least.

Yeah, I'm hoping to try and do a treble within my first three seasons in charge!

Just saw your forum signature, 16 seasons! Very impressive. Wish I heard about this game sooner, it's a shame I've only just found out about it. I love football manager games... I've clocked up a lot of hours on them over the last few years. One thing I seem to have noticed is that a lot of people who have been playing this game for a while don't seem to have as many cup wins, compared to league/champions league. Would you say it's harder to win the Cup than it is to win the Champions League / League?

I'm also going for atleast a League win this year. A cup win would be awesome too!

16 Seasons is nothing, Theres players that have been in the game since the beginning in May 2010, and the game is in it's 38th season so L38 is highest level in the game. like you, I wish I found out about TE earlier too.

Cups are now a lot harder to win (for me anyways), they changed the format completely, everyone entered into the draw is now based on quality, don't go mad on buying tokens because you will end up being disadvantaged. Older players that begun the game from the start won the cup a lot more often because they were always the highest seeded team in the draw and played easy teams in most of the rounds, now thats all gone. But if you were put on a old server, then you would now have a great chance of winning the cup now because you wouldn't have to face someone thats many levels above you in a preliminary round. League is the easiest to win obviously, some leagues can be a joke to play in if you often end up buying 5* players and some 6* scouts every season, I have often played in leagues where I am 10 quality better than anyone else.

Wow, didn't realise this game was that old, the game should of got a lot more publicity than it has, I've only really noticed it since it's gone on the App Store for Apple products.
It's a shame really, because somebody like you, or me, who started the game fairly late won't ever be able to be the highest level in the game (Unless there's a cap? Which I doubt there is, and imo there shouldn't be) which is a bit frustrating really. I think there should be other ways of gaining managerial levels other than just getting promoted.
I drew in my league game today, which is disappointing, I was going to watch the game to give myself more possession, but I was asleep haha. But still, I'm en route to be undefeated in the league, aha! Always good to be ambitious I guess.
