Thanks, but I'm actually pretty happy with 4-3-2W-1 at the moment. I know how to play it and I know I can beat stronger opponents when playing it (sometimes using def/counter). Logic says you need a DMC when you're opponent is playing with an AMC. Experience taught me it really doesn't make that much of a difference. I don't do worse against AMC formations.

I used to play 4-5-1V, but I like the little more offensive style and the stronger midfield of 4-3-2W-1. I did try 4-2-2-2 hex in the past, but it doesn't suit me. I guess it's a little too offensive for my style of play.


Just to be curious (and because there's always something more to learn): what observation made you to believe I would be better off changing formation?

I base it more on the amount of times you have won the league... 4 times is quite average considering the quality you have and the amount of game time you have had...

so, perhaps get some CDM's to protect the defenders,, Particularly when you face tougher opponents, where the midfield battle pretty much decides the result

Mostly including them to show only SL appearances and goals are showing (ended 3rd in CL group stage), which I think is a shame. In old version CL stats were blank at the end of the season.

History

Because I was tanking, 3* Phuroc Tu got to play a substantial amount of matches. He's now on 151 goals and 117 assists in 259 matches and shares the record for most goals in a match with Park.

Season 19 (level 15)



Won the league. I lost the first two matches, but was unbeaten after that. Only Amarildo (a loss and a draw) managed to beat me over two matches. He started supporting me and added me as a friend halfway through the competition. Of course I accepted. Towards the end of the league I was going to add FC Antwerpen as well (I've met him before), but it turned out he had already sent me a friend request. Funny how things work out.

Cup proved to be too strong and ended in the quarter finals. No CL or SL/NML because I tanked the previous season.

Final standings






FC Rossum won the cup again. Great manager. I've seen him do well (and mostly win) cup and/or CL for the last few seasons.

Ade Satriawan R. Got injured twice this season, but still managed to become top scorer in league. 39 goals and 13 assists in 27 matches.



Ji-sung Park. Shares most goals of the season with Satriawan R.



João Ferreira. New recommended ST. As FK specialist and with high crossing, so taking all corner kicks, he was ofcourse the king of assists. Still managed to score 32 goals in 30 matches as well. Most MoM's and player of the season.



José Sandoval. Super-sub. Didn't get to play much after Ferreira was bought, but still managed to score one on one in league.

History

We have a new club top scorer. Ji-sung Park has now scored 160 goals and it took him only 165 matches to do so. Great stuff.





At the end of this season, Marco Ronchi will retire. He's had a great couple of seasons with me. I've tried to sell him after that, but couldn't get rid of him. So I just kept him up until the end.
