The pattern of first-11 performing worse still persists here too, despite results look better with before. Sub ST scoring a hat-trick in last 32 mins (on @58th) and sub MC providing an assist to make a 0-0 at 37th min to 7-0 at full-time tells its own story, with best 2 attackers with no goal or assist (147% & 116% vs 40%). Engine seems to favour 3rd best or lower attackers, as well as defensive players scoring too (defenders and DMCs already scored 38 goals).
In this season, if you ‘feel’ that the engine sets the best players as non-performing, then maybe sub without any hesitation (missing open goals, corner goals or counter-attack goals is a clear indicator); before, there still is a slight chance the top attacker would still score from freekicks or PKs, now probably will keep wasting them all.
The negative performance only affects our personal games, as the best attackers still perform as good as usual in association matches.
Winning is a form of art. Consistently winning is a show-hand of skills and luck.
Yes i am facing the exact same problem. My top 3 attackers are affected so 4th best onwards for me are doing well. My 5th best attacker is currently tied with my best player/attacker in number of goals scored but has played 3 fewer matches. It is quite likely that the top scorer will either not be won by me or won by a bench player if nothing changes. And yes the top few attackers do well in association games as you mentioned!
Very similar here. Sub ST scores the same ratio of league and CL goals (7/7 vs 12/13 & 4/4 vs 7/8) with my 2nd best attacker, and very ironically the sub ST only comes on as sub for that 2nd best attacker typically around 60th min (when I feel enough misses is enough!) This means the goal ratio of sub ST is indeed doubled of first choice. But then I need to keep the best attackers on to hope they somehow perform and get more motm too, so 60-min is the this season’s threshold when previously I would hold until 70-75th.
Recently I just keep playing 3-5v-2 (flanks when opponent plays DMC) and 3-4-1-2 (middle when opponent has no DMC) with hard attacking and hard tackling, and it somehow works a bit better with such aggressive tactics. No red card yet, so will keep risking. Maybe you could give it a try.

My players have somewhat recovered their previous season scoring form. I had to beat the 2nd in my league before I noticed this difference. I am guessing it has something to do with the game engine keeping things close? Nevermind, i hate to sound like i am making excuses for myself. Whats done is done. At least they seem good for the final run of matches![]()
Season 6 Level 6 End of Season Summary
Not a spectacular season but the team managed to get the job done. It was a season where defence played a critical role when the offense had difficulties scoring. Lowest total goals scored and lowest goals conceded since i started manipulating. Will probably be bringing in a few fresh faces that would hopefully add some drive into the offense that seemed somewhat lacking at times this season.
League
2 team race where the champion should have been decided alot earlier. But as the league lacked quality, both of us won all matches for the first 9 league days. He got trolled twice for matches 10 and 11 before i faced him and beat him rather convincingly on match 13. The team never looked back after that critical match.
CL
It was supposed to be one of the easiest CL campaigns i have ever had. I am not sure if it was complacency but i managed to draw and lose to 2 star teams in the group stage. The knockout stages were a breeze as expected. I never faced a 5 star team in the entire tournament. Highest rated opponent was 78.7 in the finals. A familiar foe whom i met in the CL finals in season 4.
Cup
Again the toughest competition in terms of general quality. I faced my strongest opponent in the 2nd round. While the others were about the same quality when i met them. My 2nd round opponent was strong right from the start when my team looked vulnerable. After getting past him, it was a smooth ride as my team had the time to train and get back their championship form.
Super Cup
I expected to meet a 6 star team rated 101.6 but he ended up losing in the SL finals to a 77 percent team with two 7 star attackers and a very mediocre backline in extra time.
When i faced the 77 percent team, i scored 6 goals through counter attacking plays which is the most i had ever seen in a match. Managed to achieve my most dominant Super Cup victory as well.
Milestone Achievement - 300 Wins
Much tougher getting from 200 to 300 wins than previous hurdles. Perhaps my competition was getting stronger? It might be me lacking in knowledge and experience and it is finally showing? I don’t know. But i have adjusted my team this season nonetheless and hope for the best. I sold off players who had high whites and had been with me since the beginning of my journey. Let’s see how the next generation does going forward!
Some of the other lower level teams i follow closely and try to learn from. Also trying to not fall too far behind them.
They are both level 9 this season. One of which is in my server.

Well done on the milestone, do you have to play any of these guys? By the looks they are 1 level ahead of you.
