I think it is. The quality is so much better in my squad than most teams around. I have a quality of 16.7 and an average age of 24. So I think my squad is good as of now. Just lacking in certain positions.

You could compete in Level 2 with the same Level 1 team, but you can't expect to take Position 1 unless you re-do core positions (I found a new and very experienced striker is key to Goal-difference, Level 2-strikers are a lot higher than the average level 1 striker)

Hey. Thanks for the info about buying players. I won level one league and just won level 2 league. 9 players left from original line-up. I will be looking for a couple of players in the next few days but am happy with my team right now. I have subs for every position and can change formations to suit the opponent and that works for me.
The market in level 2 is active but search around and find the best player for yourself. If it isn't there just come back to a later auction or change formation. If you wait you will get the right guy for your need with one token and the right cash. I picked up a 350,000 free agent one nite for one token. Just be patient. Lots of good players three times a day.
I won the Gold boot for the league with my DL DC free kicker. My strikers were not as active and so while I understand about the reliance on strikers for goals-difference, use your best player as the best player. Also, if there is a stellar dl out there for cheap or Free-agent and you are looking for a striker, maybe the dl is the one to get. Don't limit your team by formation. The best players in the right spots are helpful even though it means changing from a 451v , for example.

Believe it or not, I just snapped a DC who was a Corner specialist 2 days back.

And I know you're right about playing the transfer market with patience. I have it, and I snapped up a 22 year old, 24 quality striker with 31 shooting and finishing once, and got him for like 380k. And spent like 2 tokens on him. So I know how to play the markets I think, and hopefully, I'll be able to next season too.

I was reading the other thread about the specialty players not being effective and I really don't wonder now that my guy as done so well. I have another header specialist on another team and he is always in the comments for scoring with a header or hitting a corner kick out of danger and a one on one specialist was keeping his team in the game against me. I had like 4 one on one and he stopped them every time. That is great about your corner specialist and the 22 year old. I love those speedy young players !!!

I wouldn't start bidding if your looking for long-term fast trainers until next season actually starts.
