Royal Rumble Cup, Quarters, Second Leg

And so we did what seemed impossible at first glance. We earned every tiny bit of this victory and overall of the two legs; first, globally we were the better team on the pitch, considering plays, occasions, pressure and possession. Second, we had to follow a "kid"'s caprices which brang about 3 different time changes into our second leg, including the real hour which was 2.20 AM. Of course, we too changed the match time according to our needings, but despite knowing the time he'd play in League, we simply moved the match to fit our work-table, and we did so one day before the match without further changes.

That said, the match itself was pretty wierd for about 65 minutes. We espected Koln to change its setup few mins before the match, and so he did, thinking we'd be asleep and not bothering to a possible counter-measure. So, when he opted for an asymmetric 4-2-2-2 (DL-DC-DC-DMR) we were already ready to confirm our 3N-2W-2N-1-2. Koln had resorted to this trick in the first leg too, and in all the cup's matches: basically using a DMR instead of a DR grants him cover as a 4back, but makes the engine consider it as another midfielder, hence effectively acting as a +1 man on the pitch. Facing teams based on wingers and a single striker, this is devastating, as he keeps on par the numbers in midfield and also minimize to 0 any damage from the ST with a "real" 4back. We didn't get caught in their trap as in both legs we alwais had 2 strikers, aided by an AMC red arrowed seen the lack of DMC.

This time too, we started of dominating; with 55% possession despite being away, and pressuring like hell, it took us few mins to let Wayne find the right angle making things a lot easier for us. After the goal, we were surprised to see us keeping the insanely high pressure on them, where we had 3 consecutive clear chanches (from 18' to 29') where first Wayne, then Hutton twice set the ball away. At minute 35', the board signed 10 shoots/6 on target for us, 1 shoots/0 on target for FC Koln. We expected a module change or a sub, but there weren't any. Suddenly tho, from minute 35' to 45', our pressure vanished and we were seriously pressed in our own area. Despite that, only a corner Kick smothered by our Keeper was registered as dangerous.

In the second half we immediatly shaped the Narrow Diamond sure that our starting module was being made zero impact by the engine, and as matter of facts we started like in the first half, having the better pressure and possession; Wayne sent another one flying too high, and Kent twice from Free Kick almost scored, once stopped by the post, and another one with their keeper defusing the shoot in corner. From the corner, Blaze's header only grazed the bar. Then again, without subs from Koln, our module became unuseful as much as it was devastating in the first minutes. We got pressured hugely from minute 50' to 60', where practically all the saves shown by the stats were made in two actions: two straight free kicks defused in corner by our good Parker, two consecutive double corners which both times (or better say all 4 times) ended up with Parker smothering it letting us breather. At minute 63' Allofs injured, and to our surprise wasn't subbed. We understood that the "kid" got mad, and prolly left the game showing without following or, very probably, fell asleep again (you nub, setting a crazy time, trolol), and that eased our march. We understood that none of anyone's shot would go in when for 4 straight times Wayne passed the ball to either Becker, Kent or Stark and all of them went wide, while all the shoots from Koln were "smothered" by our keeper. We got in a second DMC practically closing every tiny door and a it ended, we were in paradise.

We'll face another top team in the semifinals, Salvatore FC, Q63 and raising (+5,5 in 10 days). He has about 4-5 alt teams, so we'll get badly pressured in terms of possession, hoping someone will come cheer us up. Another hard challenge, while in the lower board The Shield (Q 57,8) will facr Alex FC (Q 58.2).

Match Preview - AEPRE FC v. Kampung F.C
    Type: League
    Location: Home
    Kick-off: 20:54 ICT

AEPRE FC sets for a revenge on Kampung FC, who brought AEPRE FC to the new server which features a scout buyer in the league.

Kampung FC will be playing on 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond, which AEPRE FC ever experienced huge screw up over the other team. They will be playing on 3W-1-3W-1-2 dandelion. Not much signings from AEPRE FC this season, but they will arrive, but under the advice that the manager have received. Before the match, Kampung FC's manager have sent a friend request, but AEPRE FC's manager said "no" to Kampung FC, because AEPRE FC wanted to be back in their old server. As SCTA FC is still in the same CL in this season, which they will definitely help.

LEAGUE ROUND 17 - THE SHOWDOWN - PREVIEW

    July Fourth vs NAMO UNITED

    July Fourth 124.8 - NAMO UNITED 118.8

This is a grudge match between these 2 teams, NAMO UNITED have risen to be unexpected and only challengers to July Fourth winning another league title this season, NAMO UNITED started the season well winning most of their games before some draws towards the midway point and their only loss of the season coming against backmarkers mikeyboy city, July Fourth had a slower start of the season registering 3 draws in the first 4 games before racking up 11 wins in a row before yesterdays draw to leave us just 1 point ahead of our rivals today, NAMO UNITED have proved to be nothing but an nuisence, power support will most likely be against us once again and also we have not forgotten about the match fixing earlier in the season with them having an alt account in the same league, fortunately we beat their alt account rather easily first time round.

NAMO UNITED have now a hybrid 5*/6* team with development over the last 2 weeks which doesn't suggest they have a lot to offer but if they bring their power support as expected this could turn out to be a more difficult than we expect, Their main threat is the current league top scorer with 14 goals, Lawrence Bott and also top performer Ionut Porumb. Last time they played ND against us but it seems their preferred formation is 4-3N-1-2 but they could use 4-2-1-3 as well as they did in the closing stages of the first meeting that ended as a 2-2 draw with Miku getting a late equaliser for us in which we have remained unbeaten in the league since. We have Ramirez suspended, possibly our best defender quality wise but performance wise our best defender is Dino Childs and he will captain our team today to hopefully a big victory in what we need to get some breathing space against our rivals.

Odds: July Fourth 4/9, Draw 5/2, NAMO UNITED 11/2.

    Under/Over 2.5: Under 10/11, Over 10/11
Both Teams To Score: Yes 4/6, No 6/5.

    First Goalscorer:
    Pietropaolo 9/2
    Michu 5/1
    Bott 5/1
    Miku 5/1
    Porumb 6/1
    Orth 7/1
    Watson 8/1
    O'Sullivan 8/1
    Papaleo 9/1
    Aldemir 9/1
    Stuart 12/1
    Fabregas 12/1
    OTHER SCORER: 8/1
    No Goalscorer (0-0 draw): 9/1

Today I won my home game against someone who didn't had enough players to challenge my Team. So I won 3:0 without playing, and I'm not satisfied with it.

LEAGUE ROUND 17 - THE SHOWDOWN - RESULT

    July Fourth 2-0 NAMO UNITED

    July Fourth 124.8 dandelion - NAMO UNITED 118.8 4-3N-1-2

This was a very much even contest than the scoreline suggests, both teams played good football and creating an equal number of chances each as NAMO UNITED tried to play on the counter attack, but the difference between the 2 teams was our solid defence in what we are usually known best for, The first couple of chances went to NAMO UNITED but Hogan defended superbily before we got the ball forward to Michu who passed for Pietropaolo to knock it past the keeper to give us the lead, the game continued on a even basis, with us having chances from Miku and Michu in the first half going over and Aldemir and Porumb for NAMO UNITED being blocked, Quill was everywhere for NAMO UNITED and was superb in defence and keeping them in the game as well as creating 1 or 2 chances in the first half. The first half ended 1-0 to July Fourth.

The second half was steady as well and we started well winning an early free-kick, Michu was on duties as Beckett is still recovering from his injury a few days ago, he blasted one over the bar, but it wasn't long until Verdun handballed it near the area and gave Michu another free-kick from an awkward angle, this time Michu struck it over the wall and into the top far corner and the keeper couldn't reach it and we lead 2-0, still though chances for both sides continued NAMO UNITED won a free-kick and it was on target from Porumb and tipped over the bar by Knight and the corner came in and Calavicci headed it away to safety, Sylla and Quill had a couple of chances for NAMO UNITED before Verdun tripped O'Sullivan in the 70th minute that ended the game for both players, Verdun sent off for a second yellow and O'Sullivan injured, We already subbed in Papaleo and Vestergaard on 58 minutes and we threw on reserve GK Fartmann for the last 15 minutes or so since we were playing against 10 and didn't want to waste any other players low condition on the bench, Miku had a chance to score late on and Vestergaard and Papaleo each tried to create a chance, there was a couple of more efforts from NAMO UNITED, Almedir's shot saved by Knight for a corner to be headed away by Calavicci and a Orth shot blocked by Stuart and then it was final whistle soon after this and we get the important win over our rivals.

Goals: Pietropaolo (8) Michu (49) MOTM: Michu.
    Sent Off: Verdun (70)
Injury Report: O'Sullivan OUT for 5 days, not anymore, we are down 15 reds but he will play tonights CL match against SK Senec.

Team Talk: A good hard fought win for us over our rivals for the league title, however we must still work hard as we are still only 4 points ahead of NAMO UNITED and they are still in the title race and can still win games to keep pressure on us. We play SK Senec tonight in the CL Quarter-Final tonight who are a scout team and it will be a tough match for us as well.

Revised Title Odds: July Fourth 1/25, NAMO UNITED 12/1.

Surprise and celebration, as Securas GT beats by 3 goals to nill the until now undefeated leader of the league, on it's own turf.

Playing a more defensive formation than usual, the portuguese team managed to nullify the oponents midfield, and control it's attacks, delivering some deadly counters into the net. One goal from Keller and 2 from Dzsudzsák sealed the match, with the MVP award given to Ribas, the lownly striker that spread panic amongst the oposition's defense.

With this result, the portuguese team shortens the diference to the leader, even though the 4 remaining points may be enought for LACOSTE FC to take the tittle home. Securas GT is now alone in 2nd position, taking advantage of the loss of the former 2nd place.

Later on an enormous challenge, the first leg of the CL's quarter-finals, against a far superior oponent. Will Securas GT's manager be able to recover it's team ontime, and repeat the performance?

I don't normally look at the transfer market that often because it is rubbish and its near at the end of the season...

    But look who I've found?

Alex Zidane 3*109 now, 1 skill point away from 4*110... Been at least at 2 different clubs already since I sold him, someone 2 levels below can pick him up for maybe 1T and have a useful player for 2 seasons.

For someone L18, he would be a great signing for the remainder of this season and next season as a back-up player and also an excellent signing for anyone L18 that won't promote at the end of this season, someone missing promotion can have a 6* ST/AMR for next season.
