Yeah I do the same as you with the teams in the CL... Have a look around to see where other clubs there is and what competition I could face... Most are 5* teams, very rarely any token buyers though, I haven't seen where Batigo United have landed this season but no doubt they will be still around and I will draw against them at some point soon. Quite a lot of teams I come across have failed to win promotion the previous or just simply tanked because nearly every team is at least semi-active of some sort. Another thing every season that goes by and we promote every season... there are less teams above us on the server.
