I don't think that having just 2 defenders, should be an illegal formation. Up until the 1970's, practically ALL teams used to employ just two fullbacks. They had 3 "Half-Backs" (DM/DML/DMR). Wonder why we can't use this system now.

Your right, years ago a common formation was 2-3-5

Have you recently changed your formation? as sometimes if you are watching the match and move a couple of players the ball posseion drops low as in your case so you may want to change your formation.

It depends on the strength of your opponent and the formation you both play.

So are we saying as long as three green players are in your own half, there would be no possession loss.

    IE.

    -------------DC------DC
    MFR/DMR----DC/DMC----MFL/DML

Thanks. technotronic for this info. I've played with no wingers and LM/RM before. Seems OK. No heavy loss on possession.

Haha. Looks like Spain fans can't play their fav team's formation here. Sigh.

Seems like in TE, having 2 defenders is 'illegal' and 20%possession is the 'punishment'.
