Key players most likely to get injured since they will play most games in your season, only thing I can suggest is leave important players out with your playing a dead rubber match.

So true. I lost during this season all my key players with injuries up to 6 days. Now to avoid that, I'll rotate all the team with weaker teams.

I've also 2 of my best players out for 2 days, with direct red cards.
