I believe 9 is maximum rating a player can receive. It's similar to 9 being the maximum number of stars a player can have, regardless of quality.
Well, that would make sense, only a one star player can still get a 9 ...
I think 9 *must* be the best you can get, I have had a couple 4's...but they were on trainees (18/19 y.o.) playing OOP. Only keepers and trainees are allowed such low rating, a regular player in his position gets three 6's in the last 5 games and I think about selling.

I have a player who struggled to get above 7 every time he played I PT'd him for a free kick PA he has now scored 4 in 3 & not one from a free Kick, so could sometimes be worth the 40-50 training cones?Quote:

I have a 10million pound scout player who was played 8 times for me this season. He has got a rating of 4 in FOUR of those 8 appearances. his other ratings were a 5, a 6 twice and he excelled himself once with a 7! quite the superstar! anyone wanna make me an offer for this obvious superstar??

Probably, it is a change to match rating. I never saw rating 10 until a friendly match today.

A rating of 10 should not exist, as is an overall quality of 10, probably because no player can reach perfection.

I have never had 10 rating on my layers but I just saw that happened on one player in my CL opponent team.
I think Nordeous made some adjustments recently.
