Maiden UTD's winning streak comes to an end with a 1-1 home draw in the league today. Still top after 7 though. They play in the CL in an hour.
Cage FC could only manage a 1-1 away draw in the cup last night, it should be a mere formality at home though. Normal service resumed this morning with a 5-0 away win in the league. Striker Kumchai, who has been a massive disappointment, suffered injury. No red packs will be wasted on him for now, he's played 15 games across all 3 competitions and has only scored 4 times. Sub striker Jay Suss has only come on late in 9 games and scored 7. So he gets the nod for the time being. CL game at 9pm.
TheCageyOnes UTD had no problems home and away in the league/CL. Though an AML is still much needed, and not ONE is showing in negotiations or even in Scout. Funny that eh?
It's all luck, nothing more. Whether bad or good.
New Team Season 9
This is the final result of one season of tanking, 8 friendlies per day and 250 green invested in this one. We have 30 left which will be used for Norman Osborn, while the others will naturally go for the 8th star at season end.
End of this round:
Satisfied so far but we must do better.
How works 4-2-2-2 Hex versus 4-1-3N-2 ?
Cage FC went 1-0 down after 15' in their late CL match. The team were set up with an attacking 4-4-2 formation, one that works 90% of the time as they're strong in every position, with very solid wingers who can change position when needed quickly. This is what I decided to do and with just a couple of substitutions we set into a 4-4ND-2 form and almost immediately scored through new signing AMR/AMC Osmani. A brace from the in-form J Suss, normally super sub striker, who started tonight in place of the injured Kumchai, and goals from Martinez, Mooc and Lazitch wrapped up, in the end, a comfortable 6-1 home win.
Maiden UTD also won their CL game with ease, 5-0 at home. They also completed 2 new signings, 25yr old DL/DC Gill, and 18yr old Dmc/DC McGarron. No SA for either, but they were cheap-ish considering their Q23/25 and with some training up at least fill out the team a little. They were a little light on the bench with no reserves last week. Now have the 7 subs and at least the one reserve.

CL Group D Round 4: July Fourth 2-0 FC Cotti. Watson (10) Papaleo (35) MOTM: Beckett. Crap game really by us but were all but 'mathematically' qualified for the KO stages.
