Finally we made our way home from this horrible trip to Jerusalem. Impressed from this city we were taken back down to reality inspecting the Village Football Field of our host. To find gras on the pitch you have to use a magnifier, still wondering how the got the licence for CL.
Right after kick off we discovered a hard tackling Team to beat in our first KO Match, supported by the referees not charging anything. Surprized how our two Strikers get by these extreme Conditions it was only a matter of time to the first goal. It started in the 18th Minute, Reichwein passed the ball over to Cidimar who scored for the lead. In 30th Minute he did it himself an just 2 Minutes later again after another Assist from Reichwein.
Just 5 Minutes before halftime, the trouble started, Reichwein was fouled by Azulay, who only was given a yellow card. Reichwein suffered a ACL tear 6 days injury. So Calamita came in and Cidimar scored his fourth goal this match even before the break.
In the second half we were player more careful against these bonebreakers. It was nearly at the end, as Oliver Barth scored with his head after a free kick from Calamita. Four minutes to the final whistle, Junglas suffered a 12 days injury (Hamstring strain grade 3).
So we rushed immediately after the 5:0 Win to the hospital where both players were treated even before the Flight home takes off.
The whole Team was surprized as the bus stops at the best hotel in Hometown. The Reserves and the Families of the whole squad were waiting for us there for the MidTerm Party.
Lesson learnt!, never sub an injured player with a comfortable lead, you still would have won, saved yourself 15 medic packs and even the game engine goes home happy. :)

Alex Zidane is enjoying football at the minute, scoring twice in this game and is starting to run the show in some games, just seems to have hit a run of form and maybe a contender for our top scorer, the defend + counter tactic seems to suit him as a player funnily enough, P.McNamara, Mensah and Rocky were our other goalscorers.
Alloa FC 0-4 Julio Quatro Cup Quarter Final, 1st Leg.
Don't be put off by the opponents club name, this was infact a Local Derby for our team, both representing London, an even first half saw both sides cancel each other out, before I called the shots and replaced P.McNamara and Mensah with both Savage and Justino, Justino had a great game, as did Papaleo who set up Zidane for our opener, Justino got a brace within 6 minutes and Papaleo's solo effort ended this cup tie, The return leg at Islington Park is on Wednesday.
My next game isn't until after 3pm tomorrow, so I may use this window for some Power Training.

The win puts us 8 points clear. Petersen with the first goal, Dutton doubled the lead then a Suarez brace sealed the win. Not the best performance but we'll take it.

Rangers had only a league match today against a tail end team. I missed the match and was surprised by the result. They must have played in the mud. I won 1-0, 62% possession, but only 11 shots (21 combined) in the whole game. I had 2 players with 8 rating, 2 with 6. opponent had 4 with 6 rating, all others were 7s.
Berezin was MOM, Kupalang scored the only goal at 79'. Vargas did get a clean sheet for his first game back (no saves and he was one of the 6 ratings). 10 points clear on the league tables now.

Predator FC became the pray in the NW of England tonight they could not escape the ravenous jaws of the injured beast.
Tugay was first to rip a limb from beast on 17 minutes assisted by Fazackerley.
It took almost to HT before the pack got the scent and closed in for the kill, on 42 minutes Shearer was first to join the feast ripping off another limb on 43 minutes, Wilcox got in on the act snaring himself a bit of hind quarter on 48 minutes, Shearer was wild with the taste of blood and gourged more of the injured Predator on 74 minutes.
Cid who had been trying relentlessly to get himself a piece finally succeeded sneaking in on the blind side of Shearer assisted by the mythical dragon slayer Fazackerley, 5-0 with little left of the Predator, the last nerve had twitched the skeleton was bare all that remained was the head, a fine trophy for anyones wall and so it was to be MOM Shearer with a blistering strike claimed the prize with one final bite of the sleighed beast on 89 minutes.
Blackburn Ravers 6-0 Predator FC.
Almost perfect day for City. Just one fly in the ointment. Artur Umbanga picked up a thigh strain in training. Two days out, but as it only happened late tonight, it'll only be 1 day after maintenance. Can live with that.
LGE: Sharsted fc (home). Won 8-0 (Best 4, Flanagan 3, Bayes). MOM: Seamus Flanagan.
My 2 strikers had an in team battle for top honours. Flanagan with 3 goals and 2 assists, just beat Best (4goals 1 assist). Put me top on GD again, but still played a game more.
CUP: Magliara53 (away). Won 6-0 (Flanagan 2, Bayes, Gentile, Duran, King). MOM: Flanagan.
With 5 second half goals, the scoreline was comfortable in the end and makes the 2nd Leg almost a formality. Took until the 40th minute to open the scoring, but after the break, the floodgates opened, against a team that had a GK playing as a MC.
Thinking about generating a team picture of my players to post on here, just to add a bit more realisism to my posts.

Something is definitely up with this game engine.. I was scoring for fun in the first few games (over 7 every game) and now it's a challenge to score more than 4 goals..

What a strange one GK Mangan makes a fine save taking into his chest, we counter and while Douglas is one v one, Mangan tears an ACL 6 days. Now we all know how random injuries are dished out but come on, a ACL tear leaning against the goal post, WTF.
He didn't even leave the field and I certainly was not subbing him. :D
