Perfect Tactics qualified from the group stages with a 100% record . This match involved going to Saudi Arabia for the first leg of this champions league match. I also gave a debut start for youngster Gabriel Ekholm.
It was a tough match against a new formation. They started the brighter team forcing a corner from a counter attack but it came to nothing. It was the 39th minute when we got the vital away goal and the first goal of the game when Suarez raced clear to slot the ball past the goalkeeper. The second goal came when debut striker Ekholm hammered the ball into the corner. Suarez made it 3-0 after the hour mark and tie surely over now.
Goals: Suarez (39', 67'), Ekholm (52')

Looks like I'll be playing my biggest challenger Midoo FC in the next round, he won 6-0 today. 5* squad with a scout defender, should be very tough... Plays with the 3-2-2-2-1 (butterfly) formation. Anyone know how to counter that? I've always used it but never played against it.

Just arrived in Portugal for the first leg of the CL.
Very nervous after last nights cup exit, decided to be more defensive, although the quality again is to our advantage theses opponents are no mugs, top their league with playing 4-2-3-1, no defeats just two draws, a nit of a mixed bag in the CL so far scarped through the groups wit 3W 3L.

Got off to a slow start in CL away leg. Aceituno got a yellow card 36' in so i switched to hard tackling (why not? already blew fair play). Aceituno redeems himself with a goal just before halftime. New AMC Seo adds another 4 minutes into the second half and at 66' Dullah makes it 3- nil. Decide it's time to pour it on, so switch formation, moving players forward with 3 AMs and tactics to hard attacking. Possession starts to decline and Abkhazia scores to spoli the clean sheet.
OK, lesson learned. Going to stay defensive in the league match.
Oh, yeah. Dullah was MOM, gained 2 skill points, and his morale went in the tank. In fact, had 5 players morale drop into the yellow including Aceituno, Seo, and the keeper. Don't understand that. But applied some morale boosters, swapped out tired players and ready for the league game.

Time for new experiences today. After our great win at home in League Match today, scored 6:0 ( Traut 23', Reichwein 63'+87', Hübner 73', Hofmann 82', Junglas 89') we tooked our stuff facing our first KO-Match in Championsleague this Evening.
We've now arrived in Israel for the first time also. Our Opponents lineup shows a 4-5-1 flat, and so we will access the pitch in a 3-5-2 Flat formation, flexible to switch in a 3-3-2-2. Due the weakness of the israelian team and his current 8th position in league, we don't expect too much to defend. Seems to be not to heavy to access Quarter Finals.
We will report more later, after our Midterm Meeting with the current standings in the middle of the season.
i can't believe it.... i just trained my reserves, all of them were close to perfect form, and another injury. This time my third GK, out for 6 days. Five injuries to a GK so far :mad:

Curral FC had us worried for a while.
Wilcox opened the scoring on 1 minute with a thundering drive, Curral leveled of 23 minutes when Clayton was adjudged to trip the attacker, receiving a yellow for his trouble.
Ravers playing a more defensive formation against this heavy attacking side with 3N-3-2-1-1 went back into the lead with another fine strike from Shearer on 34, Wilcox then put Shearer through again on 40 minutes.
Ravers put this tie to bed on in the 89 minute, Fazackerley crossing for Wilcox to power in the header.
Back to the NW of England now for the top of the table clash with Mancity in 45 minutes.

Well ... good and bad. Went with 4-3-2w-1 vs FC Starowka's 3-1-2-3-1. Possession heavy in my favor but players were tiring quickly. Substituted a defender in the 26' minute putting DMC Safari in for DC Glavas and adjusting the backline accordingly. AML Zelazhko (Marzuki) scored the first goal at 31', and we went into half with a 1-0 lead, but Marzuki got a yellow just before the half.
AMR Seo scored at 58' just before I pulled him and put in another DC (Macias). Three quick goals (Edri 61', Thanh Long 64', Kupalang 64') made it 5-0 before Safari earned a yellow and gave them a dangerous free kick, which they scored from. Subbed Salamon for Zelazhko at 77' and he immediately scored to make it 6-1. Edri's yellow at 87' means he'll miss the next league game.
Stayed hard defensive + counterattack the whole match. Like the scoring, but the flurry of yellows and the lack of a clean sheet is disappointing. Three straight games Spampani has given up a goal. He'll go back on the bench tomorrow when Vargas returns from his injury.
Very strange after such a defeat morale only dropped 5% over night. :confused: Compensation or an apology! :(Quote:

Although my opponents have the lowest average of any team in my league at 75.2, they were no mugs, they are sitting in mid-table going into this game against league leaders Julio Quatro who are trying to run away with the league, The game opened up very shaky with both sides managing 1 shot on goal each before Julio Quatro found their game, Kevin Mensah put away another free-kick for his 25th goal of the season which puts him back as the clubs top scorer, He was fouled and hurt 15 mins later and Petr Vasko, our second choice free-kick taker put it away, Zidane had a 5 minutes of brilliance at the end of the 1st half, he scored 2 goals in as many minutes terrorizing the defence and setup L.McNamara for 5-0 just before half-time. Novotny was the class act of the second half, stopping out any breaks from the home side and provided Rocastle with an excellent cross which he headed home, Papaleo a bit quiet in this game set Novotny on for 7-0 which he smashed right into the roof of the net. Mensah suffered a broken foot (6 days) but our magical medic team can provide the medical assistance needed so he will be fit for tonights champions league game.
Julio Quatro reach mid-way point at 12-1-0, GF47-GA6, 7 points advantage in the league.

First CL game away,lost 2-3.Nothing special except one funny thing.Before tha match all my players were like 70-80% condition excluding one of strikers who was like 15%-I just forgot to replace him with the fresh one.And guess who scored twice for my team? :D
League round 13 - Ahmed FC 0-9 Perfect Tactics
It took just 4 minutes to break the deadlock, Ghidia ran through on goal and scoring for his 16th of the season. Suarez was then put through on goal and squared it perfectly for Ekholm's 2nd goal in 2 games, a bright future for him at Perfect Tactics. A mistimed tackle from Onwar gave Perfect Tactics a free kick, Petersen took it and it flew into the corner for 3-0. Petersen got another just after from a counter attack and then Ekholm got a brace after good play from Ghidia. It was then 6-0 before on the stroke of half time, a Petersen corner setting up Suarez for his first of the game. The dominance continued in the 2nd half, Ekholm teeing up his strike partner Suarez for 7-0 and Suarez's 2nd. Ekholm got his hat trick on 79 minutes, a great achievement from the young striker. That made it 8-0. Then a classic, long-range Petersen strike completed his hat trick and rounded off a brilliant performance from Perfect Tactics.

Strange thing here, Declan O'Riordan was rated 9 for the home side but the MOTM was Zidane even though he only got an 8. :confused:
