Counting the ND those modules brang out an overwhelming possession and pressure vs the 4-4-2 flat. Talking about cup opponents on par Q.
I don't think the butterfly is that good against the 4-4-2. I've lost CUP and CL ties using the butterfly against strong 4-4-2 teams.. I have lost the trust in that formation altogether. But what I have found is that the 4-1-4-1 and 4-5-1 flat tends to do a bit better

4-5-1 is pretty nice against 4-4-2. When I play it, I use normal ment., mixed passing, mixed passes, no trap, no CA. Red arrows on ML/MR/MC (middle). It has never failed me.

But, 4-4-1-1 isn't bad neither, the AMC often makes the difference.

How do I play the 4-1-4-1?

Attacking mentality, mixed passing, own half pressing, mixed passing, hard tackle, zonal marking, no counter, no offside. Red arrows on ML/MR and ST.

Champions League last 16, 1st leg

    I.T.M. 0-4 Perfect Tactics

    I.T.M.: 74.0, 3N-6-1v | Perfect Tactics: 83.6, 3W-5-2v

This is pretty much tie over. A big win against I.T.M. means we don't have to worry about the 2nd leg. It was plain sailing for us from the start, Rendon grabbing the first goal from Dickson's pass. Our opponents were getting some of the ball but it was nothing for our defence and we blocked and tackled everything they threw at us. Suparman was booked for a foul and Weber forced a save out of Pereira. Minutes later, Weber was booked for a foul and Suparman scored following the free kick. In the 2nd half, we continued to mount pressure on I.T.M. and Shlimazl went through on goal to give us a 3 goal lead. We were not there as Dickson registered another assist and set up Van der Zande from a corner

Goals: Rendon (7'), Suparman (41'), Shlimazl (51'), Van der Zande (61')
    MOTM: Rendon
