3N-5-2 flat, 4-5-1 V, or 4-3N-2W-1. take your pick.

4-1-4-1 is a fair formation vs 4-3N-3, but I prefer not to waste my defense like that.

I like 3N-1-3N-2W-1:
Since he has no wingers, I would not put any DL/DR and go with 3 at the back. I always like to have cover if his 3 ST are equal to, or better than my 3 DC, so I usually go with a DMC, meaning I have 4 back covering his 3 ST. He has 3 up the middle, so thats what I do to match him, while I pick an AML and AMR with one ST to give you your wide players and a legal formation. of course, you play up the flanks on this one.

or 3N-1-4-2. this is my fav formation and is so versatile. It fits playing vs the 4-3-3 quite well. You outnumber his STs and also his midfield, so its a good start.

My spreadsheet says that 4-1-3N-1-1, and 3-2-2-2-1 butterfly have both worked for me in the past.

Whatever the formation you decide, know that you have many options that work against 4-3-3.

Today i'll play against the league leader. He defeated me 0-3 last time we faced each other so, i'd like to receive any advice on how to face a team like that:

4-1-1-2W-2 according to July Forth's guide you should be looking at 3N-3W-2MC-2 but hopefully craticot or someone will help !! what time is kick off hun ?

I dont have the players to make that counter formation :(

You can try 4-1-3n-2. Attacking trough the middle. That works for me

Yup. 4-1-3n-2 is a gud counter for wide diamond. The 3 MCs will take advantage of the no MCs from his side. Even narrow diamond should work. Just one variation from what wiesse said, in narrow diamond u will only have totake a central MC out, and put an AMC so that ur AMC keeps his DMC busy, so that he can neither help his defence to take on ur 2 ST, nor go ahead to attack and help his forwards.

Why??? coz u qualified 4 CL???? I shud be sad then coz ne promotion for me. Cant wait 4 the next season as I want to play my best 11 again. Their shoes are rotting sitting on the bench and my subs are tired playing and winning!!!

lol but you tanked this season, yes I reached the CL so very happy also got my new under 21 mc not keeper though and have saved skill points for next season!!!!!!!! should get money for 4th place going to look at free transfer's start of next season .. I'm happy becoz I learnt a lot about the game this past few weeks

I have about 80 skill points saved which will take my team 1Q higher.... Next season, unless I encounter a token buyer, I am confident about victory in the league and might just win the CL. Not much hope of the Cup though....

I have about 80 skill points unassigned. They will take my team 1Q above. Can't wait 4 next season as my best 11 want to play; their shoes are rotting. And my subs are tired playing and losing. Unless I encounter a token buyer, I am confident of victory in league. might have good success in the CL. Not much hope of Cup though.

if u have 20 players and 20 skill pints, ur avg team Q will go up by 0.2Q. if u have 17 players and 17 skill points, it will still go up by 0.2Q. if 22 players and 22 skill points still the same. So if u have 40 skill points and 20 players, avg team Q will go up by 0.4.

it will be batter if u put 1 AMC instead of wingers and another ST as then his DL/DR will have nothing to do and pressure of 1 ST and 2 AMC will fall on his 2 DCs. never keep only one ST against 4 at back as he will be double marked. congrats.... I have never won the CL or cup, won the league twice though. Will have no CL next season, I made a mistake in one of my previous post, telling I might have some success there. I forgot that I am not being promoted, then how CL. LOLs.
But remember, never play 1 ST with 4 at the back, and if there is a DL/DR, it is good to leave them jobless by attacking through the middle with no wingers and 1 or 2 AMC along with 2 ST. This causes all the work to be put upon the 2 DCs, who will eventually fail under pressure. Still, nice victory!!! Was ur team stronger???

Hey Saransh, thanks for the congrats. I'll keep in mind the 2 ST suggestion. Havent thought about that.

good team... do u buy tokens??? I think that only ur dribbler is a scout, if he is, and other 2 six stars are normal players whom u have trained to 6 star as they have no SA. That 2 ST point was told to me buy some experienced manager, I think July or DVR8.

No, i haven't bought scout players. A lot of tokens is required to buy one, so i haven't thought about that. And yes, i bought tokens this season. :)
