How do they work exactly, i have read the wikia and its not very clear. If i have for example a striker with 120 offensive and another with 110 but with free kick specialist ability, which one is better when it comes to free kicks? How much does the special ability actually add to the offensive skill in this situation?
from what ive read on forums . SA give you a +5 on your 110 , so your 120 should be better .

In all honesty, I just look at whoever has the best shooting ability. If it's the non free kick specialist, then choose him. My first choice free kick taker between seasons 2-9 was actually a corner specialist and scored a ton of goals from free kicks, that was due to his very high shooting stat.

There are only 2 ways to convert "1 star higher" into actual skill rating. It's either "+5 sp to all stas" or "+75 sp to one stat" and the latter sounds too good to be true. Well there is a third way (random distribution of 75 sp) but it would be too dump to programme like that.
