League issue - 8th but joint 7th!!

I came 8th in the league but had identical points, goals scored and goals against as the team in 7th! So why he get promoted and into the champions league and I stay 8th???!
My team name is: Spank City in case admin want to check this bug out?

That's what I thought too but I drew both games with the team in 7th. 0-0 at home and 2-2 away.
We should of had a play off game or both get promoted as joint 7th?

I guess its only goal difference/goals scored the; direct duels are ignored and its a coinflip who is promoted. Bad luck for you

This is the problem. We both scored the exact same goals and both let in the exact same goals. We have identical records. Same points and everything... There is no differences.... T11 should promote us both or have a play off game...

first the team that are 7th won`t be in champions league as it the top 4 that go into that and second not a clue but staying down can be a blessing as you will have stronger team for your level so can aim for top 4 finish if you want champions league football

Good point about being stronger for not going up but it's the principle now as I would like T11 to explain what the reason is for keeping me down even though I had the exact stats as 7th place. I also missed out in £40 million prize cash!

Well someone had to stay down, right? It's either you or him... and it happened to be you unfortunately. I am assuming it's just based on random luck if everything is the same.
