Strikers are hard to get good ones, but I am curious.. where do you assign their attributes? I usually have their attack 5-10 over defence, with phys/mental above the attack stats.

I had this problem in my earlier days. I try and steer clear of 18yr olds no matter how good their Q is (unless they have a special ability, which is very rare). They have no match practice. Another thing is to try and do your transfers from the Top Eleven full site as apposed to the mobile site. This way you can view player stats before buying. The amount of times I see a player for sale that has lots of bids but his stats suck (2 goals in 28 games) but people do not look. If you play from a mobile you can view stats using a browser such as 'puffin' as it supports the flash needed to view the full site (plus the browser is not viewed as a mobile site, meaning it will always take you to the full web pages) - I think a decent 21yr old plus is good to have in the squad and think about why he is for sale? You want a player that is for sale because his manager has levelled up and no longer requires his services as opposed to a bad player that is being listed because he is poor. Hope this helps and good luck :)
I don't know why but young GK and STs don't perform for me, no matter how high their Q is. I always like my GK and my STs to be old around 30....... Maybe it is just a coincidence but it works for me.
And for GK I feel one on one stopper is the best. I have had 2 so far out of some 10-12 I must have had in 9 seasons. The 1st one, Anderson , was the best I have ever seen, truly a team legend(no, not 9* legend, then literal legend). The other one is my current one. He too is exceptionally good with at least a couple of saves every match,

These are my two current strikers, the 6* I bought and haven't't added any to defence or phys/mental, since his attack was pretty mediocre. The 5* This is his second season with the club, and i added attack w/ phys/mental. And finally the 3rd striker, he started off well, but hasn't really hit any form this season ( Averages 4-6 ) Last season he averaged 8-9.
And since somebody mentioned GKAttachment 16377
I bought this guy at the end of a season, when he was on sale, he was 19 at the time, his first full season with me was poor, but this season his form has been just outstanding, I may have concede 5 goals in my past 3 games, but before that I had conceded 6 goals in 20 games, and kept 17 clean sheets. I suffered a few suspensions / injuries to my defence during the end of this season so I cant blame my keeper, next year he will goto the bench, but I cant stress how amazing he has been for me.
Well this is my best striker. I only have 2 strikers in my whole squad as i only play 1 up top.

Slickz, whats wrong with that GK? He'll be 3* going on to 4. I'd keep him as 1st team and buy a near 6* 18yo GK as back-up. Train him hard so when you feel as though Ruffini isn't up to standard then you might try out this youngster.
I'm looking for an 18yo GK myself, whats the value of a faster trainer at L4?
And if you're getting as many goals from your midfield as you would from your STs, its as good imo
My STs are only my 2nd, 4th and 6th highests scorers, but are top 1 & 2 assisters
But then again, I'm only 3rd place so maybe my standards are much lower
LOL I was going for a 24Q freebie DCR then the guy who's 2nd place in my league with +5Q better than me comes in. He took it to Rnd12 against some other guy. Makes me feel better at only coming up 3rd behind him with his tokens to burn
He just beat the 1st place guy inflicting his 1st loss of the season and now 1pt behind.
They've dominated the lge, 18 & 19 above me.
1st place guy has top 2 goalscorers, 3/5 top assists and 4th & 5th top rated players.
2nd place guy has top 3 rated players and 3rd place goal scorer.
On L4 is 8M more or less.
Well, Apo's job is to pair with Bobo, so it's more about assists for him. I pretty much assign all my team high physical stats, it works for how I play. All of my guys will position themselves for defense as well, I like having the fewest GA in my league. (the only players to get crud ratings are my GK, I am changing how I assign on them) But yeah I find it interesting how everyone has a different way, and they can all work. :D
My friend who quit at L20 only used to assign Attack/Def depending on their obvious role, never assigned fitness nor the other cat. But he had a 2 season player turnover so I guess the lower fitness didnt affect him much as he's bring in new players the season after next.
I personally put more on ATT/DEF and decided on keeping an arbitrary 10% of player's Q difference between A/D and fitness.
I might double that for next season and go for more skill to fitness
I need a LOT of work next season. Lost 2-nil to 3rd place team and ended up 5th on GD.
He Q was 31.2(27.8M) to my 25.6(24.9M), I had no right to be challenging him for 3rd :D
here's the wiki page on attributes: Player - Top Eleven Official Wiki
leads me to think the phys/mental is important. :D
First season and won league with two games to go, looking forward to the guard of honor and the cup tonight.
Looking forward to next season! :)
Just got bored of winning all the time, and you cant gain tokens from buying and selling players. He probably hit the max budget also
He's disappeared from my list of in-game friends just as I unlocked the ability to buy his players :D
I can only make an offer on my friend who is next to me on my ladder, cant make offers on other L7 players
I bought 2 players at the end of the season a 26yo ST and a 19yo AMC/L. They're 27 & 20 now, my AMC (1.58M) gets MoM but only +142pts (+100 for MOM right?). Thats the same gain as my 27yo ST (1.28) with +42 if you take off the MOM bonus :-/
Looks like I bought a 19yo with stunted growth :-/
And my budget for this season is only 3.5M... how on earth am I supposed to buy a 8M fast trainer? lol
Oh, I read that if I let my player's contract expire and sign him at the start of next season he'll be cheaper? Is this true? and do I need to save up all his skill pts until next season to further reduce his wages?
Saving up the skill points and signing him before applying them works. I don't like to let contracts expire, because thereafter they are only 2 year, and if i want the player long term that winds up being higher wages.
Keep in mind some of the youngsters on the market are from managers' Academies above you, if they are the free youth.. they might play well, but train just atrociously.
Oh really? You cant renew them for 3years?
Doesnt that work out the same? If I renew, say, half my expirees now it'll be renewed for 3years including this season.
If I renew the rest at the start of next season it might be only for 2years, but they'd expire the same time as those others no?
Ah I get ya, so this youngster I got might have been the freebie from that higher level academy and play well much like my own freebie youth
Update OK, so I have 2 Youth STs... one 2* 23Q and the other 4* 33Q
I have 81T saved up and just got into L4 so probably a rebuilding/tank season as I've only got 3.8M budget.
I saw a 5.3M ST Q37 for 4.8M... if only I had 1 more mil I wouldnt need to ask.
So is this 24T youth ST worth it considering I wont have much else to spent my Tokens on, I'm lowish on $ and I've only got 18man sqd but I have 5 STs (3 starters 28-32Q {3-4*}, 1 retiring reserve and the 2* youth)
I have a question. I have 20 moral boosters right now. If I buy the so written "5x" package do I get only 5 moral boosters for 6 tokens or my 20 boosters would be multiplied by 5 and become 100?
20 + 5 only
Zangy, I would buy him. The 24T youth is often a super trainer, an as you have room.. another ST never hurts! I have been buying my youths the past couple seasons (I get two a season now, woot! :D) and they have all been pretty good players, and they are still on my team.
But there are other ways to spend T... you could do some Free Agent buying and selling and work up your $$ some more...:)
Hey guys and girls
Just going update you on my progress, and look for suggestions ^^
Last season I set out with the goal of winning the elusive treble in my 3rd season of this game. Naturally I read the forums and was wondering whether I would get it due various factors that this game engine may or may not do.
My league season start with a few wins 2 draws and a loss early on which set me round top 5, however, after the 2 draws and the loss my team kicked into gear and won every league game left in their season.
Champions league also started in the same kind of way. I one win then a loss and draw left me languishing in 3rd position 2 points off the pace to qualify for knockouts, however again my team kicked into gear again progressing to the semi-finals where I lost both games 2-1 and 2-0 respectively to a 4-4-2. My 4-5-1 v style didn't seem to stop his players as suggested by the counter-formations, but such is life. I was happy to get the cash for most of the rounds anyway :). The guy I lost to won the Champ league so I didn't feel to bad about losing since he followed through to win it.
For my cup, my team fortunately did not slack in it, I had one tough last 16 round which saw me just go through on a 4-3 aggregate, then in the finals I went 1-0 up with him scoring in the dying minutes, remained 1-1 all the way through extra time and went to penalties for the 1st time ever for me, I was a little worried since I had never done it. Also was happy in a sense that my keeper was a penalty kick saving specialist (this special ability didn't help at all) we went 3-3 then I missed one and my opponent scored going 3-4 then my DMC stepped up and held his nerve going 4-4 with him to take the last kick to win, he rocketed it over the bar and my next player converted and he sent another wide leaving me with a win (5-4 on penalties)
This past season was my most successful in my 3months managing my team, I will again try to get go for the elusive treble but will see early on how feasible that is. Level 4 (Dreamer) brings in a new concept for me where I can negotiate with others for players, however I don't really have many friends in top 11 so this function I might not use as much. Also as someone who doesn't get promotion videos or buy tokens, I face the challenge of maintaining my team while trying to compete at a high level and not wasting any bid since it could potentially hamstring my squad. (35t seasons since I started)
A number of my players have likely past it, I will be looking to replace my keeper, and perhaps bring in a new striker and test him out, however my young one who is 120 this season has performed well even though he is quality is not high.
The thing that I will likely have to do is experiment a little bit with new acquisitions that I get and see if they perform better for me or not in these opening games in the league.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, any advice, tips that you have don't be scared to pop them in a mail or reply to this post :)
Wish you guys the best of luck with all competitions this season.
Regards
Wilderness
Forgot to add, this past season was a double for me again
League + Cup
S/A vs Skill Points. So I have been considering this now for a few days. Only one player in my team has a S/A and thats my mc with dribbler, my old keeper had one on one stopper, but now serves on the bench. So my question is, 50 skill points is kinda alot for a new S/A, I would like to give my DC ST AMR/AML players one, but im wondering what is more beneficial Skill Points or a S/A. Each of my players in a season earns roughly 50 skill points ( Even my youngest/highest value players ) So I have to pick, it will cost me 45 skill points to get my ST to 6*, but 50 and he could get Free Kick / One on One scorer.
What is your opinion and which do you recommend more?
*Note I never train my players until last day of season, I have saved up 80 greens / 60 reds. Not a lot but for me its actually a massive amount. I have surived off 5 seasons of getting 2 packs a day. Since my other friends don't stand me packs, even though I send everybody on my friendlist packs everyday.
Also what is maximum amount of friends you can have? Just to see what I am missing out on packs wise.
There is no max. of friends, but you can only use 1 of each pack a day (you will find sometimes when more than one is sent you will have it available the next day)
Unless you have tons of greens, for PT, I would not make an SA on anyone unless they are a super trainer, you won't be able to keep up his stars. Trust me on this one! The SAs are nice and all, but it is a HUGE hit in Q unless you are willing to put ~100 greens on the player to keep him up.
If you are willing, look at his current attributes and pick the SA that best matches his higher skills.
How do you find a fast trainer? I have always went off the basis, the younger the player and the higher his value the faster he trains. But I have a 22 years old, who has a value of 2.5m. Who trains 3 times as fast as my 19yr old who is worth 9m? I saved up skill points, and he had 19 saved, while my 9m value player had 6. Both played the same number of games, he didn't get mom every game. So im sure how im meant to determine a fast trainer.
People say 24t youth. But they are 15Q less than my main team. I mean are they THAT FAST, that they can make it up + the rest need for a new star?
Scouts aren't in my budget I work off 35 tokens a season.
Value is a good guide, but not always. The managers above you sell the free youth they get, and their prices are usually fairly high, but they are *not* fast trainers, they're ducks. Basically the fastest trainers are from fictional sounding team names, with very even attributes, and extremely high price tag.
Also remember to plan ahead, if you are training an extra role or SA, do it BEFORE you add Q to the player, they all slow down the better their Q.
I was unaware of that last part, actually I was unaware of most of that. I see some players for around 12m value, but when I bascially have to go off league funds due to poor cup perfomances, I struggle to find the budget to fork out 3/4 of my money on one player when my squad requires a boost of 3-4. I guess until I can make a good cup / CL run, ill be stuck with medicore trainers.
THANKS FOR GREAT ADVICE :)
i m metallic fc.i m new manager.

How have your market bought youth performed?
I would have signed my next 24T if I wasn't getting him at the end of the season, not gonna sign a player thats going to lose a star in a few days, I going to have to interrupt the training so that they arrive at the beginning of a season.
How many levels of Academy are there in total and how many days does it take to train youth in the highest?
My 24T 1st youth player performed really well and trained really fast, where as the youths I got from the market (in general) need a year to train up and start playing well
I think the equivalent 18yo on the market wont be as fast training unless you're paying the max for him. I've only seen a $7M player once this season, managed to bag a Q39 5* MC who's valued at 6.2M and he's played REAL badly.
Last season I bought 2 5* 18yo and they're only coming good this season.
Need your opinions, continue to play this Q39 MC for my CL game (down 4-nil) or use green boosters to heal up my 2 MCs who were playing awesome before they got injured.
I'm also down 2-nil in my cup, losing against this money man
He started a month after me and has miles better Q, look at his team full of SA's as well :O

The last few seasons I have been testing out the Youth Academy, since Ive finished building there (12 days). Ive got several of them in my team, and have been happy with them.
I just got a 24T ST who did fantastic in his debut, we'll see how that goes.
Attachment 17282 18T, not fastest but still good trainer
Attachment 17283 :D 24T well spent, he will be Bobo's replacement.
I tend to play the guys I *trust* in important matches, regardless of stars. So if the injured guys are your "go-to" men you might think about healing/boostering them, but it depends on how many you have and are willing to spend. Do you think you can come back from that score deficit? Playing in all tourneys is *hard* juggling who plays which game! good luck! :D
Really>? Because on my farmed teams I buy them too. But only the more expensive ones...not MCs. They play well and their training speed is better than any other player on the team. I think it wouldn't be my choice on my 35T team, but I *could* it is an option, you can even buy a Scout on 35T if you are patient.
Aren't scouts overrated?
They're always too old for me, I'd rather buy a 5* who's 1Q away from 6 for even 20T
I forgot to set my alarms again, DAMN. 1st time I missed a match since I took a break from the forum lol
Lost the match 6-1 with my healed MC getting injured again after just 19min
No auto-sub and my DC gets a 2nd yellow, lost 10-1 on agg and out the CL
Update: How the hell do I get 63% possession and my only midfielder get a 4 rating? He truely sucks (same 39Q 5* 19yo MC I mentioned above) I had to play 2 DCs in DMC and they got a 6 & 7 rating
The other team got more shots than me also, but only 4 on target. I got 6/9 shots on target, ended 0-0 and slipped down to 5th
