what i do is generally get rid of token ones but this season i signed a 24 token striker and power trained for next season and also sign non token ones and normal train for season and then sell on first day of new season as that`s when the madness happens

The first couple products of the youth academy are pretty useless. They get better as you upgrade the facility, though. I have tried keeping some of the free ones that were generated on my lvl 5 team, I will see how that goes. But they are very slow trainers, which makes them bench fodder or $ generation for the most part. If you have a lot of tokens to power train with, the token youth is usually a good player. But on the other hand if you have a server where you can buy gens for a few tokens, that's better, I think.

I think I'm going to struggle in L3... I still have a 3rd of my squad at only 2* lol
I hope I get lucky with a 3* free youth or a 2-3* GK at least

My 1st free youth player has finally reached 1 next star (after a season and a 2/3s) but his value has risen by 100k and he's now one of my faster trainers

i got the full facility for youth so signed a youth for 24 tokens as i read they where fast trainer`s well this is hog wash my 21yr and 22yr old striker`s are faster than this muppet so no way will i sign another, i`ll just get the non token ones and train to sell on the first day of new season

Yeah you're right. It'll be very difficult to win anything with a team full of freebies
And you can build a decent enough team with 1-5T buys without needing freebies to make up a bulk of your team

But still, I like to see these "under dog" players grow and perform well
My free player I mentioned gets mostly 7s
