Bidding Wars

How come when I watch an auction it goes on for about 5/6 rounds, but when i bid on a player it goes on for 15/17 rounds....grrr

I assume when you watch an auction, the player might not be very good (otherwise you could have bid already
and. when you decide to bid for a better one, you know ppl also willing to pay more

anyway, I avoid bid on Peak hours
