How do you choose your captain?

My captain has scored 7 goals in 31 matches this season. He's a dribbler at MC. I highly doubt adding the captain role increases their scoring. Though his low output may be caused by my striker and wingers. I think those three players are stealing all the scoring chances.

Im sceptical to weather it matters at all. But like others say i would choose a veteran over talent.

It's usually one of my youth academy player,if my team has no youth academy player in starting 11 then it's usually one of the long serving players in the team.

I doubt that captain title affect a player's form. But I give it to my best ST, even his mate on the front line scores more than he does.

problem come when he has 5 4 or has 6 for 3 matches consecutive. 7 never a problem for me
