How do you choose your captain?

Do you have a method and a particular reason?

I've used the Mid or def players with the highest physical/mental ratings or sorted by age ...
Just on a vague hunch that:
1) I shouldn't use my strikers, AMs or wingers (but what about GK?) and
2) I don't have a clue what characteristics are relevant.

Most important player. I don't think it does anything to be honest.

Change your captain and see how that changes. There's only one way to find out if a captain makes your player score a lot.

i change captain every season. to become captain the player has to play at least 2 year at the club. par default, Captain this season is one of 2 vice captain last season. each season, among the new signing i chose 3 of them to be in captain liste, elminate 1 after the next season begin. So my list compose 3 player in 1st year, 2 in 2nd year, and the captain in his third year at the club.
There is only 3 player ever play 4 season at Palaiseau FC. only 1 of them was captain. Reclaro was captain for 2 of his 4 season

Captain is a honor, i don't expect anything from such a things. but in my captain list from #1-#3 they always perfom excellent 7-8-9. i have never had i bad captain.

I've had the same guy, Fuad Martin a DC/DMC as Captain forevers, with GKs as secondary if he isn't playing.
