Special ability or advance in quality?

Have an 18 yo DC with 4 skill points to next level (average PT speed is 3 sp per day and 1 day to achieve that), still 14 days till end of season. Surely wont be able to move him another level up till the end of the season. However, if we train hard, its possible to achieve special ability (50sp).

Is it worth it? Would you go for it?

If you have some green boosters handy, you can throw them at him and give him some extra training and it would probably would be worth it, but in terms of natural growth only then its not worth it.
