Although i never saw Gavaskar, Bhedi and Srinath live. They retired before i was old enough to start watching cricket( i have been watching since i was 3 so go figure). But i have heard many a heroic tales of theirs' and even seen some old matches highlights. Specially of a few WI tours, '83 WC which we won and all. I did however see Kumble for some time. Sehwag is still here. Though due to bad form he is out rght now but i have all hopes he will be back. He is our DESTROYER!!!!! I will remember Sehwag always for one more reason. It was a match against Pakistan(Indo-Pak matches are the most interesting ones on both sides of the borders... People go crazy if they win and don't eat for a whole day if they lose
). Shoaib Akthar(u must know him), Pak's fastest pacer was bowling bouncers to Sehwag and telling him to try and score runs off him. Sehwag's reply was what every Indian remembers. He pointed at Sachin who was standing at the Non-Striker's end and said in Hindi,"Woh dekh raha hai, woh tera baap khara hain waha....Usko bol, woh marke dikayega" meaning in English,"U see that, he is ur dad standing right there(hyperbole obviously, not really), tell him and he will score." Next over of Shoaib, Sachin on strike, Shoaib bowles a similar bouncer, Sachin smacks it for a 6. Followed by a 4. Sehwag then told Shoaib,"Baap baap hota hain, beta beta" meaning "Dad is dad always, and son is son"
By far the best dialogue ever said on the cricket field!!!!!!! Unforgettable one!!!
