It seems to me the problem is that whilst you have some decent players, you also have a mix of poor players too, I'd concentrate on making a balanced squad, rather than forking out big bucks for scouts/expensive players.
Picture a League 2 team with Suarez and Iniesta against say, Real Madrid.
And HULIANO, there is no 'cheat' for this game, i wouldn't bother.
