Managers Tactic

I have favorite formations, and i build my team acording to that formations.
Acording to my opponent i adapt my formation, for exemple If my opponent plays with AMC i play with DMC, If he plays with 3 DCS i play with AMR and AML, but always putting my stronger players. It is just stupid If you to adapt to your opponent have to play with your weaker player and put your stronger in the beanch.

In one of my teams A a Z FC i always play with 3 DCs no matter what.

I start with one formation and stick to it until it is broken, then I adjust to suit my players.

This season I played 3-4-1-2/3-1-4-2 then reverted back to my trusted 4-4-2 hexagon 3/4 of the season. I don't really change the basic structure much.

Season 1 - 4-4-2 Hexa, joined midway finished 5th
Season 2 - 4-4-2 Hexa, 4th, Cup semi
Season 3 - 4-4-2 Hexa/4-4-1-1, 3rd, Cup 1/4
Season 4 - 4-5-1 motivated AML/AMR, 2nd, Cup 1/4
Season 5 - 3-4-1-2/3-1-4-2/4-4-2 Hexa, most likely 2nd, CL 1/4

I prefer the first, See what the other team’s formation is and counter that.

That is what I am trying to do as well, all the time. Won the league and the champions league and came in third in the cup competition. I had a very challenging level 4 league with 9 active Managers., quality was almost even, lost twice, once to a 343 bot, second to the second ranked. I had set it to 451 V but could only watch the last 5 minutes and he had switchted to a 41212 nd, lost semi final against a level 7 442 0:1. I used 451 V against a 442 in the champions league final and 3:2:)

I prefer the first too. I started managing 2 more teams, one of which was left untouched for 2 seasons, without any signings. Mostly to try and learn this game more quickly. TBH, it only brought more confusion then anything. Teams left unmanaged do well, as long as their on top qualitywise. On individual matches I don't know, but as for league standings, most teams seem to end up more or less where they should given their avg quality. My experience so far lead me to believe it doesn't matter much how you manage your team in the league, avg quality does.

That True in lower levels were you have lot of abandoned teams and bots, and the Q is more similar. In higher levels does not work that way.
2 seasons ago i was in a 10 active teams LEAGUE, and was won by the 6th strongest team, last season the 2 strongest teams end up behind me that was only the third, and the forth strongest won the league.

Thats actually good to hear Dman2pt, As for formations and counters, I have not come much further then trial and error to find what works and what doesnt't for each team. As that can be quite different for each.

What a rubbish? you just need your own counters.
