Young player and youth training facilities

Are qualities of young players really dependent on investments on improving youth training facilities?

I keep on investing on improving training facilities. But I just find my recent new players are low 2* and the lowest 4* (need 15 tokens only for signing). I am curious if quality of them be even lower in case I cease investment.

it does not matter how much you invest for quality of player the only thing that changes with investment is the amount of time it takes for youth to come through, i`m fully built and get youth every 12 days, and as well getting normal 2 star for no tokens which i sign and train (if get early in season ) then sell on first day of new season once i add skill and the 3/4 star player can be any thing from 12 to 24 tokens with 24 tokens being fastest trainer but i don`t sign as DID get better in market for less tokens so i release, that being said if they (Nordeus ) added a special ability to youth that cost say 18/24 tokens then it would be worth signing

In the past, I just signed one of the 4* player. He's a fast trainer and well performs. But the price for him is still high. I never keep any 2* player for long because their qualities in terms of figures are poorer than most teammates, and their performances are also not good.

I also got a 1* and a 3* young player before. Someone advised that this always happens on first day of a season.

If you are unlucky enough to get them on the first day they lose a star and are older.

It's a joke that you have to spend tokens if you want the player. The whole point of bringing players through the youth set up is that they are CHEAPER than buying players.

I don't even understand where to *see* the youth players that are generated. I sped up an upgrade because the description said "2 young players generated when building is complete", so where are they?

edit: I probably shouldn't have a filled-up roster when the players are generated, right? If I left one RES spot open, would it automatically get filled by the new Young Player?

The players take time to generate. If you click on your Youth facility, it will tell you how long you have to wait. If you upgrade the wait time resets.

When they appear you will get notes in your News about it. If your squad is full, they will still be there, but you will need to sell or sack someone to sign them.
