That happened to one of my defenders at the start of the season I sold, He was 4*84 and 3 skill points from the next star and he had the aerial defender ability, so he was a useful signing for someone in Level 13 and sold for about 4x market value, I should of trained him 2 extra skill points and hoped for a token bid from negotiations.

I think for most people, it's more of a psychological thing. Once you pass a certain token count, it's like you're already fully committed and don't want to get nothing for the tokens you've spent so far. Of course, both people lose out when it gets ridiculous like that.

Most I've spent was 29 tokens on a 5* 19 y/o 29 quality DL/DC/DR.. That player is now a 7* at 42 quality. So I'd say it was a good purchase for me.

Accy, there is something weird because I do not think that I am on the same server than you and I have this guy on one of the bid I participate (and drop after 5+ tokens) that I followed it goes until 40+ for a player not really great( that s also why I dropped early)if I remember he is Turkish or Serbian ( I always chek bidder team and stadium to see if they are tokens spender).

Man o man - I have encountered this guy named "Eliminatoria" in a bidding war. I dropped out after the 5th around and it went to over 50rounds. I reckon, he does it for the thrill...
