Thread: Do you lose possession bonus if your attendance is affected by level cap?

    Do you lose possession bonus if your attendance is affected by level cap?

    At the moment I'm on a 7K stadium in level 3. Only 6K of those seats are filled, no matter what my ticket prices are. I do however, get the maximum 5% possession bonus. Now... In about a week, I will have my next level stadium complete (yes, I rushed it a bit last season) and that will be the 13K seater stadium. I have 14K fans, if the level cap at level 3 is 6K and I have a 13K stadium, that means less than half will be filled. The question is, will I lose all possession bonus for this even though I have sufficient people to fill the stadium (it's just the level cap that prevents it)?

    Not that I can do anything about it now lol.. Just curious and it's good to know in advance. Anyone experienced know how it works?

    Once you hit your level cap, you'll get your 5% bonus, as you're getting right now. I'm not sure what happens once you drop below that, though. If you had maybe 5K filled on a 200K stadium, it'd be enough for around 4% for your level cap, I guess, but definitely 0% material when considering the whole stadium.

    Here's a thought, we know that the engine had been tweaked.
    When quality of the teams is huge, say 10 and above, this one area that is very easy to alter.

    My last four home games, played around with admission fees to maximise attendances.
    The results are grossed with merchandise sales added but the key is the admission price, baring in mind that I have not lost a game in the league. The supporters attendance was calculated before I grossed the figures but did not keep the individual figures.
    The last on the list is a 2-1 win, the stats in this game were terrible when you compare the quality, approx 20, 50.2/31 difference, thee others were also wins but by three or more goals with similar quality difference and stats as you would expect, dominating all areas.

    Stadium capacity 21k, 90% = 18.9k so it's fair to assume that the last one has been reduced to lesser the possession stats.
    Possession was 60/40, shots 12/11, on target 5/7, efficiency 40/14, the key here is the % of on target/total shots mine is 41% his 63% now considering the quality difference that is a massive swing when considering the laws of probability.

    The recent cup defeat was even more of a swing.
    At home shots 13/9 on target 2/7 efficiency 0/40 on target to total shots 15/77.7% result 0-2

    $9 +M = 203.2k /19k Supp
    $8 +M = 187.1 / 19.1k Supp
    $8 +M = 174.7 / 19K Supp
    $9 + M = 180 / 16.80K Supp

    There are also some very interesting stats regarding attendances in the cup and CL matches of other teams.
    Eg CL myself ans AS Roma have the highest ranked teams we also have the largest grounds 21/36k respectively, neither of us have had more than 19k for any CL game.
    All other clubs from the group stage to current have had 100% capacity for home games.
    There is also a very similar pattern in the cup, leading up to my elimination I had around the 19k mark for all games the final game which I lost 2-0 at home I had under 19k not a lot but enough to alter the possession bonus.
    In the previous leg away the home team was given 100% of a 400 capacity, the same in all his previous games, in the next round his capacity is now 1000 so an upgrade has been completed and 87% was given but the teams are L3 v L5 in the away leg the L5 team was given 100% yet in his previous game he was getting circa 70/85%.

    IMO there is some serious manipulation of attendances going on which makes pricing irrelevant as the engine is using them purely as one of the key factors in controlling the outcome of games.
